Lesbians and the Law
(working title) booklet for Queensland dykes

ARCQ has a workgroup working on a booklet for lesbians in Qld, regarding current legislation/legal rights and wrongs. Topics will include lezzo parenting, relationship recognition, immigration, discrimination, property, harassment, workplace relations, whatever rocks our individual and collective lesbian socks.

Donations specifically for this project are welcome. Send cheque or money order to QAHC, enclosing a note specifying ARCQ and the Lesbians and the Law booklet. Or email arcq:     arcq@arcq.com.au

A fundraiser Quiz night was held in October 2005 in honour of International Lesbian Day. $319.70 was raised on the night, which will go towards printing and distribution costs of the booklet. About 45 women attended (apologies to those turned away due to limited venue size). The highest score for the trivia was 26 and a half out of a possible 45 (!!!) The night was a success, and word has it that relationships were forged ...
